got to agree with tealeaf on this one witherspoons are to me souless holes,plenty of pleasant places to have a natter if musics not your bag,places with a bit of atmosphere and caractor

It appears that the good burghers of Hyndburn are in the process of granting planning permission for the conversion of retail premises on Blackburn Road into a "luxury super pub". This time, the villians are the Barracuda chain, and we're about to get a "Smith and Jones" themed establisment.​

Ignore the slick marketing spin of this company. Having previously visited one of their outlets, which I can only describe as a super-sized vomitorium, I can assure you that this place will be worse for Accy than one of the obnoxious Wetherspoons joints. Should this go ahead, it will be a sad day for the town.

Who will join me in getting a petition rolling?
