I have a job to find the Wilkinson Blue Diamond razor blades. Is there any stall on the market that has them?
It may be that I will have to change to another type of wet razor. What's best - a good shave and long-lasting being musts. I use a gel rather than foam

I use a Gillette power thing, no gel, foam or soap, just water and a razor in the shower, excellent shave every day, lasts well, (Weeks per blade easily)

I would be really carerful buying off Ebay, I bought some Mach 3 a while ago and nearly lost half my face. There are a massive amount of Fakes out there

We buy sod all off E-Bay these days Boeing Guy is bang on, too much contraband being flogged.

It maybe some help Bob, Ive been using Gillette Mach Three same razor sinch 1994 almost 20 years blades now cost £13.55 for 8 but I can bet each blade will last about 3/4 weeks. I am ready for new blades this next week but I thought I would look at the new Gillette Powerglide.

I have previously bought these off the web, but had to pay postage per pack, so as I ordered two packs, it was quite expensive. The postage cosdt fgar exceeded what the posting should have cost.I am on my last two blades. I feel sure that some must be available to buy in a shop or stall, but I havenet yet found them. Gillette products have almost a monopoly. I am hopeful that someone will spot them - Wilkinson Blue Diamond blades - somewhere and tell me. Accyweb has that power

The 'blue diamond' sort aren't listed on the Wilkinson website.

Quattro Titanium Precision - Wilkinson Sword UK

...must no longer be produced.

In that case, no wonder I cannot find them - discontinued. The others from the internet site are the old fashioned type that my dad used to sharpen by rubbing inside as jam jar. I'm gonna have to have a change.I have tried Bott's brand and Lidll's but didn't like them.

I meant Boot's own brand.

Which new razor & blades shall I go for?
Asda about 10 plastic throwaway razors in a bag as good if not better that some of the fancy ones.
Which will cost quids, with 5 spare blades costing a fortune, and then when you go for some new blades (which don't last long) they have changed the design, or no longer stock them.

Try King of Shaves. Razors and new blades reasonable price and the nearest good shave I've found to Gillette Fusion Powershave. May be a bit hard to find but available on Amazon.
Strangely they get mixed reviews on Amazon but replacement blades get better reviews.
I found a pack of old Bics I must have had for years, thought ideal for holidays, use and throw away so tried one. It was like shaving with a broken bottle. Must have had tough skin, soft beard in those days.

Both Retlaw and Gordon Booth are thick skinned. I'm more delicate - as a lad I used Camay and Imperial Leather - no carbolic for me. I wasn't all that keen on the blocks of soap issued at the baths in St James St.

I share Gordon's opinion on Bics.
