Don't ring any bells with me SJ, must have been a slave to CarolineWhat was the "Pirate " radio station that broadcasted from the Irish sea for a while , thinking that Radio Caroline was off the coast of East Anglia and the Irish sea station was aiming for better recption/audience in the north-west and Scotland

Ya know its funny JCB but in those days we only had 3 TV channels too, makes me wonder when some nights I put my TV on (I have a full Sky service) and think to myself there's just nout on tonightIt was Radio Caroline North anchored off the Isle of Man . It was the original Radio Caroline ship . One called Mi Amigo had started to broadcast off the east coast . It soon joined up with Radio Caroline , and was known as Radio Caroline South . It stayed put while Radio Caroline ( North ) , sailed round to the north west .
It was a revolution in its day , but look at the stations and channels we have today .

wasn't there a TV & Record shop at the junction of Little Blackburn Rd and Abbey St - about where the Canine entrance is now - Abbey TV(?), something like that - know my Dad got our first TV from there in 1954
It was relay vision JCB, one of the directors was Eric Parke who later went on to become a director of E. J. Riley snookerRelayvision was round about there .
