Retained Players....

[VALAIRIAN]

Retained list ? Accrington Stanley

One or two surprises here for me, but got to say a strong Stanley squad.......

[DAV007]

Aaron Davies should find another league club, he's good enough

Apart from tripping over an exercise bike and cutting his foot then spending rest of season out injured yes he was a good player

[st06nc2]

Got to be best squad we've ever started a season with, next year could be our year

[Twenty Eight]

Two sugars in mine ST06.

[accybeme]

would like to see ross sykes play in one of our pre-season friendlies

[Inspector Morse]

Great news tho' I guess if a good enough bid comes in for any of these we can still loose them.

So we only need a goalkeeper and an attacking midfielder and we've a cracking first XI.

Any word on the highly rated Ogle?

[Lord Stiffupperlip]

Great start.
Would be even better if JC manages to retain the services of Rodak, Rodgers & Edwards for another season.

[AccyMad]

15 potentially staying - way more than we've had in quite a few years, & at least if any of them do get lured away we will get paid for them- really hope though that they all do stay & with a couple of additions the world could be our lobster next season

[st06nc2]

This has to be first season, in my life time anyway that nobody's turned a contract down to join another club

[Exile on Spencer St]

My thought too, Inspector. Is he still a 'yoof' player, anyone?
Otherwise excellent start to next season.

[cashman]

Thats great to hear, thats thanks to our new man A.Holt.Who certainly didn't take the helm to make money outa Stanley, yet cos he dont suit somes line of thought gets criticized, see ive always said all the clowns aint in the circus.

I'm sure 28 is Jordan Clarke or his dad

[Twenty Eight]

Well if I'm Clicker you've got a sixty year old on the books.
For the ninth million time I'm not his dad.
His dad is called Ian and WAY younger than me.

What did your parent actually name you then twenty eight?

I am in general happy with the list so far. I do wonder what youngsters like Nathan webb must think when they came through the academy and got about 30 mins on the field with the first team against Crew. What sort of message does that send out to academy players? last season we had two good players who never got a look in. I understand they may not be good enough to go into the first team, but surely if the manager and coach think that then why not send them out on loan. This is the bit of the academy promotions that does seem to let the young players down.

[maccawozzagod]

Webb did go out on loan

You're wrong, if they aren't good enough why keep them even on small wages?!

Webby hardly do anything hardly when he was at Rammy on loan so how long do we keep a player and hope he turns good?

I'd like to know Coleys ratio of his released players, Who actually went onto better things...
