I have planted a few more rhubarb crowns today , but i won't be able to pick anything off them for a couple of years .

You should be able to grow rhubarb in a large pot , you must make sure that there is drainage in the pot . If you want a good plant , can i suggest you go to a garden centre now . The plants are just coming through . Last year i bought one of those crappy plants from wilkos that are in the bags , and its done nothing !

As you know David, i always grow all my veggies in pots, bought this rhubarb crown from wilkies 2 years ago (you recommended i buy it from there) it sprouted the first year, i got nothing last year from it and then it drowned and died
