Any thoughts on Ricky Hatton's comeback. I personally think he should stay retired. He was a great fighter in his day - a fantastic body puncher however I think we should remember him for what he's done

Personally think hes nuts, Had his day n too daft to see the fact, He was hammered in his last bout a couple of years ago, n yeh can never improve after a couple of years on the lash.

Wasn't he a council leader in Liverpool at one time?

..or is this thread in the wrong section? ;)

He looked at his bank balance went oops not a lot left. How can I make a few quid. Da daaaa, step back in the ring take a few hits and loadsa money. Reckon when he quit he was hoping for lots of tv work aka frank bruno and such. Never happened probably mancunian accecnt that did it. :D:D:D

Its just a pity that people like Hatton don't make retirement permanent, you only have to look at Muhammad Ali to see what happens when you go to far, boxers have a sell by date, pity the powers that be don't withdraw the licences and save the likes of Hatton big problems in later life

I hope you are wrong in this case Jaysay but I fear you are right. A boxers most difficult opponent can be himself

The simple fact hes past it, Been grossly overweight, not trained or boxed fer a couple of years, should mean he can only be pitched against a journeyman or idiot in my language, so only idiots will pay to watch this farce, which he will no doubt win n then it will probably go to his head n think he can be world champ again, "NOT GONNA HAPPEN" imho.
