From what I have read re the situation at Rotherham, I think it is a very brave & honest descision by them particulary as they were still in the hunt for the play offs

Right on the money, AccyMad! The brave and honest clubs are the ones like Stanley who live within their means.
I still think to take the 10 point deduction now is a brave & honest thing to do! I don't know if they could have held out till the end of the Season but if they did and then got promoted via the play offs at Wembley with perhaps a cash windfall from doing it to pay off debts, doing it this way is the harder option and more honest approach, Good Luck to Them!

No, the harder option and the honest approach is not to spend money you haven't got, even if that means having a basic ground that other fans sneer at and struggling along with a team who are paid the lowest wages in the football league. Perhaps you wouldn't think Rotherham's approach was so praiseworthy if you were one of the creditors who was set to receive xxp in the £.
