Scenes from Hell.

Overlooker
I was horrified watching the events of yesterday unfold............I do not usually watch daytime Tv, but after cleaning the bathroom I came downstairs for a much needed cuppa and saw the carnage in the London Streets.

I went cold as I watched the ambulances arriving at King's Cross Station..........I felt impotent. I wanted to do something, yet physical distance meant that it was not possible.

I imagined what it would be like to be trapped on the underground.....
I imagined the sights that would greet the emergency services.......I thought about the young girls, Nurses in A&E's that were receiving the casualties.......though the hospitals tell you that these people are 'trained' to cope with an event like this......in truth how can you train someone for scenes that must have come from hell....?

I thought of the people who had left home that morning with the intention of earning a crust.....and would never come home again, or the people who were now maimed and injured beyond belief.

This was news brought directly to my living room........I felt like I was living it too.
I have long been of the opinion that scenes of death, destruction and violence innure us to its presence........I felt very affected by it..........and still am today.
I just had to suspend my writing of this blog to compose myself.........I find it hard to believe that there are poeple out there rejoicing at the terrible events of yesterday.

When the world suffers some sort of calamity or disaster, what do the British people do......they put their hands in their pockets and donate.......they give of their time and their energies..........who will do this for us.....?

Not donate money, because money will not give the dead their lives back.......but give information and point the finger at whoever was involved in this cowardly act.
