School closures

They might be able to get in to work, but as the snow is showing no signs of abating, what provisions are being made for these hardy souls to get home....or are they proposing to bed down in their place of work???
In the 25years i have worked at the hospital i have never known anyone not be able to get home due to weather conditions.

Wednesday 6 January 2010:

All Saints Clayton Le Moors Primary School will not be opening on Wednesday due to flooding in three classrooms.

Broadfield Special School in Oswaldtwistle

Heathlands Private School and Nursery, Accrington

Roby Mill Primary School, UpHolland

St Andrews Infant School, Leyland.

St Williams Catholic Primary School, Pilling

Withnell Fold Primary School, Withnell, Chorley

I think it's more likely the latter because the headmaster was waiting for the caretaker's opinion this morning, from what I understand.

You thought correctly Gayle, I was talking to him in the park while defrosting the animals.

Seems like some schools have already made the decision not to open tomorrow. Not suprising seeing as the county council won't have made the slightest difference to the roads by then.

Anyone know of an upto date site that I can look on? One I have said it was only updated this morning

according to radio lancs theres over 200 schools shut tomorrow .. theyre giving out the names when they receive them.

I fail to see why any of them will be open tomorrow that were closed today. The only thing thats happened is the snow has stopped, the conditions are still the same.
