I don't know if it's just my perception of it, but the site seems to be going through a very quiet period.

I've never posted so little since I joined in March, and have only started one thread recently, which was about smells/perfume. There are very little new threads, and very little to really get your teeth in.

The whole dynamic seems to be affected when just a few people don't add their usual input. When you post something, and it's days before you get a reaction, it is disheartening.

This isn't a critisism, just an observation. The new changes to the site, like all new things, take time to get used to, but I'm sure we will get used to them, and it will be bigger and better than ever.

Rather than making anymore observations, I'm off to start a thread.

I have noticed this too and have found myself just scanning through the threads instead of having my usual nosey around. Updated forum may just change that... lets wait and see

It has been quiet now for about a month. I have never known it to be this quiet, fot this long. Usually it only lasts for a week, then everyone is back to normal typo!!!!!!!!!!!!! but this is very quiet.

I think all sites have quiet times......I am sure it is just a passing phase.
There hasn't been that much enlightening stuff in the news.....it seems to be all doom and gloom......coldest winter, bird flu, gas shortages. Nothing much to lift the sagging spirits. Never mind Christmas is coming.

I would just have to agree, which I hate doing, but their you go.........I've not been inspired for a while now, so I just drift in and out now and again.
