i dont know if everyone knows but its PANCAKE DAY tomorrow YAYYYYY

the reason for this thread is......why isnt it advertised on the telly anymore? for at least a week before the date we used to get adverts on the telly for 'dont forget the Jif lemon day'

is it politically correct now NOT to advertise such a religious occasion? (when it comes down to it, thats what it originally was)

if i hadnt looked in my diary i wouldnt have known at all....why is this?

this country has gone mad and it REALLY annoys me
 
I was in Grangemouth asda with spug last week and the shake pancakes where there and spug said you can tell its pancake tuesday next week ... but otherwise i wouldnt have known ...

That made me chuckle.

Gayle bought some batter mix at the weekend so I can make Pancakes for her and the Kids.

Whats your fave topping for em: Chocolate, toffee, maple, jam, lemot etc?

Mine has to be toffee, kids will only eat them if they have Nitella on them though.
 
I like mine best with just sugar, lemon juice and strawberry jam.

The Paul O'Grady had a feature, to remind everyone it was Pancake Day tomorrow.

Monday's Blue Peter always made a big thing about Shrove Tuesday, though I don't know if they still do, as I haven't been able to watch it sice the vandals destroyed the Blue Peter garden, and disturbed poor Petra's ashes.
 
My fav topping is a bit of butter, lemon and sugar mmmmmmmmmm

Am thinking about making some tomorrow now :rolleyes:
 
We've had some tonight, my little girl didn't want to wait till tomorrow, anyway I had toffee sauce on mine!
 
Could just eat some with lots of lemon juice and a bit of sugar.

They're also very nice with chocolate sauce drizzled on them.
 
I knew that tomorrow was Shrove Tuesday. :p:)

We will be having pancakes tomorrow.

I like mine drizzled with a little bit of syrup.

We will be making are own batter no shop bought junk and will have orange and sugar on them.
er Chris whats lemot i have never tried that on pancakes :confused:
 
i have strawberries and blueberries, honey, squirty cream,lemon, ice cream and chocolate sauce........ i may have all of them on mine :D
 
Reece thought he was being clever this morning, i got up as usual at 6.45am,woke him up at 7, asked him what he wanted for his breakfast...........and he said....PANCAKES, we argued for about 5 minutes and in the end he settled for cheerios :D mum knows best :D:D:D

Mum it's Pancake Day!!!

Bless em... am so glad I'm not working tonight... otherwise wouldn't have much chance to let them make pancakes
 
I love working... but when ya seem to miss out on all the special days it can be a pain lol
Especially when the kids are really looking forward to it and ya aint got time,
cos I gotta get em home then get ready for work
