I went to Althams about the compensation offer on Saturday. They were quite surprised that we had been offered anything. Evidently it is rare for the smaller tour operators like Belleair to offer any kind of compensation. We have decided to accept it, but have put our review of the accommodation on a few travel sites, so hopefully if people read them, it will make them think twice about booking that place.
After doing some more of my assignment yesterday (it really is coming along now), Sparks phoned me using Skype. With us both working I hadn't spoken to him properly all week. We were chatting for just over an hour, which would have cost us a fortune on the phone, but is free with Skype. It was good to sit and talk, I've really missed him and we are planning all the things that we want to do when he gets back, so I think a few nights out at the flicks and for meals may be in order.
So you see, the simple pleasures in life, like sitting and chatting with a loved one are free....
Unfortunately my credit card bill is not free, so I'd better get off my bum and go and pay it....
