I have had a very busy weekend of sitting. We went for a sofa hunt on saturday and have narrowed it down to about 4 of them. We must have sat on dozens. Absolutely worn out on saturday night, I was in bed for 9pm (how sad is that!!!!!) Sitting on sofas doesn't 'arf take it out of you, I don't remember being that tired in a long time.
It was worse on sunday though... After the Easter meet up I was in bed for 8.30....
I have worked on Easter Monday and today, but I ended up having to come home early today as I'm shivering and aching and feel generally lousy. I think I may be coming down with something, so another early night would probably be wise.
I am still trying to get used to the silence in the house, it's really strange after all these years. I have now to get used to shutting the kitchen door when I go to bed, not having to rush around like an idiot in the mornings trying to get the dog fed and walked before work. I will have less hoovering to do and no washing of pet bedding. I will no longer need to carry a baggie in my pocket and scoop poop. All of these things sound like good advantages to not having a pet, but believe me, they aren't. They are everyday things that you get used to doing in exchange for the company of someone who always loves you and greets you, no matter what mood you're in.
