Well the new little pills are kicking in. I've gone from one extreme to the other. Last night I sluggishly climbed the wooden hill to Bedfordshire at one o'clock.

I set the first alarm at seven, when I managed to reach for the first half of pill and the glass of water, that the neurologist suggested might get me going earlier. The next alarm turned on the radio at eight. Taking a half of my first tablet does help a bit. It's really strange though, I literally can't get out of bed. My mind is fully awake, yet my muscles won't let me turn over, to swing out of my pit. One of the tips from the Parkinson's Disease Society, along with awful slippy satin sheets, was to have a rope tied to the bottom of the bed to use as a hoist. That used to seem daft, but the idea might work, so I might give it a try.

I'm certainly not complaining about sleeping to much. I'm much more able to cope when the first drugs do kick in, once I've had a good nights kip.

It's all about balance really. I'll just have to find a big balance that tips me out of bed when I want to get up.
