so why 1 county and not another, they do cut down people speeding,

Lancashire was one of the areas involved in camera trials, many were installed at the time to see if they cut down accidents and speeding.

Ignore any comments from chav1, everywhere needs a village idiot, he is ours :p :D

Whats wrong with two hands???

Its a pity all these laws around how drive safely arnt treated as how they should be by all sides.

When i was learning to drive my driving instructor told me off for speeding - i was only doing 85 mph on edenfield bypass! lol Speed cameras are there for a reason to stop you speeding. I can understand why you put them near schools or in accident black spots but why put one on Blackburn road between Rising Bridge and Baxenden - the one near alliance street. Theres nothing there except for a few houses. They would have been better off putting it in rising bridge - the amount of cars that speed through here plus we have a school and a pub that everyone falls out of drunk and has to cross the road.

moi? would i do that? I have it sorted - always be one of the last ones out that way someone will make sure i get home safe!

I think there should be more speed limit signs. Quite often I'll be on a stretch of road, and there will be speed camera warning signs, but then no signs to remind you of what the speed limit actually is.

Agrees with sarah, tis stupid that theres hardly any 30 signs n all this rubbish about the lamp posts. well it's rubbish.

I always thought that the back of the speed camera should have the speed limit on it, that way there is no confusion.

ahh but if your paying attention you shoudl see the speed limits on teh sighns already provided ;)

mind you my tomtom tells me what speed the cameras are set at :)

Well when I got caught i was doing 42 in a 30, i thought i'd gone in the 30 from one side of town, through the town and out the 30 the other side. Your point is flawed if you start in a restriction and didn't drive in to that restriction, cos you wouldn't have seen the entry signs. The fact is that signs do work, and so do slow signs on the road, yet they choose to put a camera where they say is an accident black spot, yet there's no speed signs or slow markings.

even if you thought it was a 40 zone you were still speeding lol

and if you thought it was a 50 or above zone yu were going too slow and will cause an accident :p
