Today's plan was to blitz my house, and to give everything a good spring clean.
It looks fairly tidy at first glance, but needs what my Mum calls 'a good bottoming'. Although the floors are swept, they would benefit from a mopping.
I'm not normally this fussy. I can live quite happily a bit messed up, I'm with Quentin Crisp on that one, although I think I'd give in before the three years were up, to test his theory about dust not getting any worse after that amount of time.
I've a few friends meeting here for a drink tomorrow before we hit the bright lights of Ossy. A couple of the people haven't been here before, so I want it to look tidy, but knowing them they'd probably say they were there to see me not to perform on a 'How Clean is Your House Rindy' type programme.
I didn't get to sleep until ten this morning, and was still in bed when the phone rang at midday, when Mum's friend asked if I'd like to go to the garden centre with her. I had to decline as I'm feeling a bit rough so far. I'm meant to be going to Mum's for tea, as per usual on Friday. Unless the pills kick in fairly soon though I might have to call her, as I don't feel fit enough to drive. We have boxed salad for tea on Fridays, basically it's all the yummy things that are left over from my brother's shop. Coranation chicken, Bang bang, prawns, yum yum. If she has time she'll do a meals on wheels drop off, though she might not have time, as the man is coming to fix her washing machine at four o'clock.
Well if today's going to be classed as a bad day, that can only mean one thing, I'll sleep tonight, and tomorrow will be a good day. Hurrah.
I will get up early, have a bit of a blitz with the cleaning malarky, and look forward to a great night out with my friends, to celebrate reaching forty one of your human years.
