Do any of you Accrington Stanley badge collectors know when this badge was made. I have been told it was from the 1960s.

Janet,

Don't know who told you the 60's but their wrong!!

In the 60's the club couldn't pay the gas and electric bills and the wages, never mind buy badges!!

In the 70's club merchandise hadn't been invented at any non league level, never mind Stanley.

Please turn the badge over, if you can see the manufacter's name, you will have in your pocession the 1st Stanley badge since the club reformed. I know I comissioned it and sold it in the early 80's. ( will look up the exact date)

If it hasn't got the manufacters name, it will be the 2nd badge comissioned after the reformation. This was a slighty cheaper version sourced by the Commercial Director of the time.

Trust this helps

They are very common and not worth the price of £4.99 it was being offered on Ebay for recently.

if you have the similar one but an orange football in the middle, I'll give you twenty quid here and now!

I saw the title of this thread and thought they were ging to make one of the night matches in to a singles night :D

what does that say about us since we opened it and had a look?? lol

says your a lonely lady ema but chances of you finding any1 to date are slim at stanley since crowds are buggar all .

There used to be a blonde haired (lady) that i saw a lot in the conference days that i would have liked to date, but sadly i never spot her anymore :(
