Stanley Safe

Roll on party time next Saturday :D

Well done JB and the lads, even I doubted you in September. Happy to be proven wrong :)

Slightly disappointed my prediction of the play offs after game 10 didn't work out (not really). Another great performance by our great club and things looking bright for next season.

great to be safe!!! but now the icing on the cake would be snakesville losing to both Burton & Fleetwood

Cos the deal was wi management loss, we get a small windfall if they gain automatic promotion, i understand.;) every penny counts wi us, as we all know.

(OK cashy) I don't recall any mention of a bonus payment due to us under those terms of agreement, is that a definite or a might be

(on a recce through google) all I can find on the compensation package is a six figure sum no mention of an extra bonus to do with promotion

With one game to go, we can still finish anywhere between 13th and 19th (Cheltenham play Daggers so we can't catch both of them, and Hartlepool play Exeter so they can't both catch us). What a tight season it's been.

And a season of 3 halves  2 points from first 10 games (0.2 pts per game :(), 18 points from the next 8 (2.2. ppg :D), 34 from the next 27 (1.2 ppg :)). Overall 54 from 45, also 1.2 ppg (averages approximate). The first bit the worst run we've seen, the second bit about as good as it's ever got, though not lasting as long as in the play-off season, and the last bit more or less what we usually do.

If the start had been average, we'd probably just have missed the play-offs, and if the purple patch had been average we would almost certainly have gone down. Made life interesting doing it the way we did ......

There could be another twist to this, Wimbledon have been charged with fielding an ineligible player in their win against Cheltenham & could receive a points deduction.

Looks like Stanley just climbed to 16th in the last few minutes :)

Wombles 3 pts deducted
