Well, I've done both types of Christmas, and the sunny one at the beach or round the pool IS different......but I think I prefer it. I am not a big fan of Christmas though.

the only thing good about winter is xmas & new year, i think it'll be really weird to be in the sunshine at that period of the year, suppose im a traditionalist.

It was lovely last Christmas....................it snowed on Christmas day and it felt really nice!!

I have to be different.
My fave time of the year is spring.
New growth.
Daffodils.
Not to cold an not to hot.

I definately prefer winter cannot stand the heat above 18degrees. Gimme winter temps of - 15 degrees anyday of the week.

We don't really have a decent summer anymore. It's just gets a bit humid and sunny for a few days, then rain, then humid n sunny for a few days.Winter is horrible and depressing, wet, cold, windy and bloody horrible. It's this time of year I keep summat on my feet cuz the spiders start coming in...had 2 big buggers yesterday...ewwww.

sorry i love my winter, it may be cold and drab and wet and windy but snuggling up all nice and snug with your friends and loved ones its great. plus it represents chrimbo and new year and then its my birthday! :D

I cant make my mind up! I like them both for different reasons - winter for the snow and dark, summer for the warmth and light.

I used to love the summer and the sun. Spent every moment when the sun was out in the garden etc. When you have spent 2 years in a climate which is 32 degrees Celcius all year round, take my word for it, you want to get back in the cold as often as possible. When I first came here, some bloke asked where I was from. When I said UK he said 'How cool, you have seasons there dont you?' I miss the seasons.

The only season I want is summer.

It is quite recently that I have noticed the nights drawing in. When I used to work in Reigate (about 30 odd miles from where I live) I used to look forward to the long summer evenings so that I could ride home in daylight on the motorbike.

In the winter it's a different story. Have you ever tried riding home on a motorbike in the dark when its raining? Its fine until you meet a car going in the opposite direction - you can't see a thing!

The warmer weather is a good excuse for not being weighed down with several layers of clothing to try and keep warm!

I have suggested going to somewhere warm for christmas, but my wife is just not interested. I have asked her to compromise for just one year, and she may be considering it, but not yet...

It must be getting cold ! i woke up this morning to find a big hairy spider sat on my bed ! Thankgod i woke up !! .... now, where are my cats !!! ;)

I love summer and being warm.... I know that you can add layers in winter but I hate dark mornings and dark nights. I feel lethargic all the time in winter and wonder sometimes how I manage to drag myself into work. I know that I am a SAD sufferer and I find it easier to work nights in winter. It's brilliant going to bed on a feezing cold, wet morning, when everyone else is getting up for work.

When I was in NZ a couple of years ago, it was december. Pleasantly warm but still christmassy. It was strange to see cards with snow scenes and father christmas on them when the weather was so good. Thailand was hilarious. It was about 32 degrees, boiling hot and little Thai men were in the Bangkok department stores with full furry santa suits on. They must have been roasting.......
