Gotta agree, very interesting. At first I thought he was just being a bit of a mard but when you read on and find that the whole forum got personal and started accusing him of peodophilia you sort of can understand why he decided to take it further. Surely it should have been a case that the moderators stepped in before it got so far?????

Someone called me 'w**ker of the week', I thought of sueing the pants of them, then thought I'd never win because I am/was.:)

Mind you, accusations of being a paedophile etc are going way too far. Where were the moderators when allthis was going on?

It says in the report that it was a Yahoo message board, I've never used Yahoo but I would presume that there was some form of moderation.

Maybe someone who uses Yahoo message boards can explain how it may have been over looked?
 
My Mother's always reminding me of something she read in the paper last year, about a British man who was fined for writing derogatory things about the Pope on a UK internet forum.

It is quite frightening, and probably a lesson to us all that this isn't idle chat over a the garden fence, but liable to the same libel laws as any other printed matter.
