What was Marlene doing in Accy?

Nah - she is more like the 'brummie Marlene' characterised by Beryl Reid

We Hyndburn Folk should raise money to the Arndale Centre so they can afford to put the clock back.

I never got to see this thing in action but from all accounts it was certainly interesting, even if it wasn't to all tastes. I must admit I'm throughly intrigued by the thought of seeing it working again.

It would certainly be less irritating than being hassled about double glazing, Sky television or being guilt-tripped by a hard-sell charity every time I walk through the Arndale Centre.

Maybe they should spend some money on replacing the split floor covering in the lifts before someone trips, suffers injury(?) and claims against them. The application of adhesive tape to cover the cracks is not really an answer

There is plenty of space in the market hall for the clock now they got rid of all those silly stalls that people could buy local produce at a good price from.:D

Is that a good price except strong white flour? :p

....went into the market hall there was a little old woman with a walking frame in-front of me at this one stall she asked for exactly the same size and make of flour i had just bought for £1:64 i thought i had miss herd the assistant when she charged her £2:74 for the same bag of flour....

Stop moaning.

You can still pick up a crocheted gonk in there, relatively reasonably.

A couple of thousand's most reasonable, for wooly art.

;)

My old man used to take my kids(now 31 and 34) to see it too whenever we visited, he couldn't get them away from it, shame it went!

You want money off the people of Hyndburn to support a private company ? Have you thought of becoming a Tory councillor :D

well the clock wouldn't fit in the Arndale OR the market hall this week, they both have cars shoved in there at the moment
