I have finished my dissertation. I did the final edit last night and the final proof read this morning. I finished my nights yesterday morning and went to bed. Unfortunately I slept a tad longer than planned so I was wide awake last night. I used the time to do my final edit and eventually had a bit of a sleep (aided by Mr Wolfblass).
I woke up at 4am and got up at 6am and did my proof read. I finally started printing at 8am. The printer behaved itself but I did run out of ink half way through and had to dash to Cartridge World for a couple of refills. By the end of printing the first copy my printer started making pathetic noises, so I took the first copy to the library and photocopied it. This afternoon I have driven to Preston and took both copies to be bound at one of the stationers near Uni. I have now handed it in and washed my hands of it......Hooray!!!!
Sparks reckons that I should go out and celebrate tonight. He is still in Siberia so we will have a night out when he gets back. I don't feel like celebrating just yet though, I'm bloody tired and want an early night. I may take the kiddies out tomorrow and celebrate with them. The results aren't due until October, it's a long time to wait but I don't usually dwell on it. In fact, for other modules I have forgotten all about the results and only remembered when the envelope has landed on my doorstep.
For now, I'll just forget about it, relish the fact that I handed it in a couple of days early so that I have a free weekend and generally enjoy my new found liberty.
I do need to say one thing though. A great big THANKYOUto Sparks and Harwood Red for proof reading and helping to lower the word count (the grand total was 10,989).
Also thanks to everyone who has put up with my constant whinging within this blog and your words of encouragement...It means a lot.
Off to put my feet up now and have a nod on the settee..
