Further information about the Gates split up....it seems that things have been ropey for a while now.
That the break up has not been as amicable as it was first portrayed.
The news that ‘we feel we can no longer grow as a couple’....that sounded a bit like Gwyneth Paltrow and her ‘conscious uncoupling’ twaddle.
All aimed at letting us believe that things might not be the loved up thing, but neither were they wanting to slit each other’s throats.
It seems that when Bill Gates was trying to decide whether to marry Melinda(who had been his girlfriend for some seven years) he used a whiteboard and a list of pros and cons.
This sounds a bit like the engagement of Charles and Diana....you know, the bit where he was asked if he ‘loved’ her....and he responded with ‘whatever love is’.....doomed.
If that had been me I would have run away as fast as my little short legs would carry me.
Anyway, back to the Gates.
He had permission (from Melinda)to spend one weekend per year with an ex girlfriend.....and they, on this weekend, discussed biomedical technology(that makes me go ‘eek’) and played putt-putt(!?).
Did that not ring alarm bells?
Dear Bill has transferred almost 2billion dollars worth of stock into his soon to be ex wife’s account.
At least she won’t have to apply for food stamps.
