Meanwhile yesterday in Dover, the right, who were ostensibly there to demonstrate for the rights & protection of our hauliers & truckerists, while the left were there for ..... well, their own agenda it seems.

looking at the pictures, those who appear to be the more intimidating & sinister all hooded & masked in black, apparently are those "Peaceable, loving lefties", the "good guys"? No, really? While those despicable racist, nazi types are at least quite easy to be picked out from the crowd especially with their funny haircuts, flags & waving arms.

I know well enough which of the above worry me the most.

All those Police vans! Do they not realise it would have been greener to ship them in on coaches like they did in the good old days of the miners strikes?
A bit of thought from the authorities and we can go back to free plastic bags at the supermarkets again. Grrrr.

Are you not being disparaging when you call them flotsam and jetsam?

I have said in a previous post.....if you feel a post is unsuitable (for whatever reason)then report it, but you declined that advice as you wanted those who had posted such stuff to be seen as intellectually inferior. (or that is what it seemed like)
You, meantime, were making personally disparaging remarks about moderators.
If I am not mistaken this is breaking the rules of the forum.

A rather unfortunate choice of words there DtP, the Halo is getting a bit of a tarnish there fella.

Flotsam = people or things that have been rejected or discarded as worthless.

Jetsam = unwanted material or goods that have been thrown overboard from a ship and washed ashore, especially material that has been discarded to lighten the vessel.

Does that mean sales of barbed wire and insulation blocks for electrification will now become more expensive, no doubt only in the poorer areas, after all Merkel won't have felt the effect of immigrants living next door. YET.
