Where to start....
Every day we get a new chance.
A chance to start with a clean slate.
Nothing is written on the face of that day.....and you know what?
We hold the pencil, the pen, the chalk.
We are(in the main) able to write what we want.
Even on the days we consider 'bad'(and really there is no such thing) we have the power to influence what is on the page.
Ok....so the washing machine broke down and flooded the kitchen floor....does that make the whole day bad?
No, of course it doesn't....it is a mishap, an imbuggerance...but it is one that we are in control of.....we can do positive things about the situation.
We can get the machine fixed...or we can junk it.
Ok....it may be expensive to replace and that may add to the feeling that it is a bad day....but even that is not insurmountable....we can budget, we can get a new one on the never never....we can look at gumtree....see if anyone has one for sale at an affordable price...or better still, is giving one away.
What I am saying is that how our day is....is how WE make it.
How we react to the perceived tragedies(and they are not tragedies at all because no life was lost....only the floor get wet and the washing did not get washed) is the essence of each day.
We all have what I call 'internal conversations'....and these are the things that alter how we see our lives.
If we give ourselves positive messages, then this is a powerful thing....and our brain believes them.
So when you are having what you consider to be a 'bad' day....talk yourself some positive talk because it leads to positive thoughts and positive thoughts make for positive actions.
Why did I bring this up?
Because it is very easy to feel sorry for yourself....until you hear that a baby of someone you know, has been diagnosed with a life limiting condition....and you think of what the parents must be experiencing....and how they cope with such a devastating blow in their lives.
Doesn't it put everything into perspective?
