well went with spug to preston monday, but before that i made another phone call to preston hospital. You know back in january when i had to cancel that appointment with the neurologist because of the weather ... and the secretary said it would take a couple of weeks to send out another ... then rang up beginning of march to chase up why i hadnt got another appointment .. and she said yeah i remember that - it'll take a couple of weeks to get it sorted? Well i still hadnt heard anything ... so thursday before easter i rang again. The secretary was on holiday and no one else could sort me an appointment out .. and the person i was talking to looked to see if an appointment had been made for me and the notification had been lost in the post .. well nothing was under my name so she said she will be back on wednesday after easter. Wednesday i cant ring her - cos of work. Thursday i werent feeling too good so stayed in bed, friday i tried ringing and it rang and rang and rang and rang ... in otherwords no one was answering. So I rang on the monday ... she was nice as pie, no apologies no nothing .. but this time she actually gave me a date and time!!!! But didnt want to say owt till i got the official notification .. which came yesterday!!! So I now have an appointment which i should have had 3 1/2 months ago .. and im supposed to see the neurologist every 3 months. When i saw greg on monday i told him about it .. and said if i hadnt got anywhere with that phone call i would have been down to the office .. seeing as a letter from my doc hadnt got anywhere ... he'd sent it in March!!! He agreed it was terrible and next time told me not to hang around like that .. Anyway thats sorted!!!
Next up .. im doing a quiz again for a family fun mayday .. this time though its not all questions ... its a photo quiz ... all places in haslingden, helmshore and up to rising bridge. So today i've been out taking photo's of haslingden. Ive managed to get so far 38 photos - a close up and a wide shot - for proof of where it is. I can see arguments over where it is!!!
Some of these photos are easy ...but there are a couple of puzzlers in there!!! Im doing helmshore tomorrow .. 
Last thursday met up with mick, katex, lynx, benipete, less, accylass and andrewb at the railway and picked up my prize for the photo competition. Which is now sitting in front of the computer. Thank you very much for voting for me. Lynx told us a story about a keyboard and clingfilm ... and you dont want to hear the rest ... but most of you will have already guessed the rest .. And mick bought me an orange and soda .. thank you mick. It went down nicely!!! Anyway one by one mick, accylass, lynx, less and benipete left ... katex, me and andrewb were left. Then andrew said he had to go pc world .. so me and katex both walked into town .. and i dragged her off to look at the top that spuggie had picked out .. she said yeah it looks nice .... anyway i got it. Its nice to have a second opinion ... but now i need a white jacket or a cardigan .. as the wedding is at the beginning of may ... might be a bit nippy at night .. or even during the day... So we went into a few shops looking for a white cardigan or a white jacket .. could we find one no chance.
Anyway saturday went to asda in rawtenstall. I'd had a look in there the week before .. nowt there. So goes and does my shopping .. and coming down the escalator ... i see my sis and her hubby to be wandering round. She saw me at the same time i saw her ....and she was looking at clothes .. Now theyre getting wed on 9th may .. she is very organised .. normally .. and shes made sure her two sons and hubby to be are organised .. they've got their suits, shirts, ties, shoes highly polished etc .. but she still hasnt got her outfit .. and 2 weeks to go. She'd been out looking for an outfit with hubby to be ...all day saturday and still hadnt found nowt ... now cos she was tired she wanted something quick and easy for tea. She said are you got your outfit .. and i said yeah .. all except for the white jacket .. next up well lets have a look and see if they got one in here .... and there was one!!! Didnt get it though .. will have to wait till next week. So i know where im getting the jacket. But she says i've to swap the button!!!
She said she'd give me a lift home and on our way home i asked her who is taking the photos .. she said she is going to ask everyone to send her a copy of the photos they take, they have a camcorder ...which is being entrusted to her two sons ... which can you imagine what thats going to be like at 6pm .... her sons one is 17 the day after the wedding and the other is 20!!!! Have told spuggie what she said .. and he said oh my!!! Thats the cleaned up version!!!
