This lockdown has taught me.....

The lockdown has taught me....
I don't get bored easily....
But I don't like being confined....
That as my spine becomes stiffer....my tolerance diminishes.
That I do not trust any of the media to tell the truth about what is going on.
That I hate Basil Rathbone and Sherlock Holmes films....ALL of them.
That I don't care how great the Humphrey Bogart classics are....I hate them....and dislike him with a passion.

That I am never going to be a fan of Judge Judy.
That, similarly, I dislike Storage Wars.
I can just about live with Shed and Buried.....and very small doses of American Pickers.

That in general TV has been like mental chewing gum, but rather than making my jaws ache, it makes my mind ache....and my brain switch off.

I have also learned that household chores are no consolation for getting out and about in the fresh air.
That many of the jobs that I could have got done during this enforced confinement, I have NOT done from pure bloody mindedness.

I have learned that I do NOT have an infinite supply of patience....and that the bottom of the tub has been visible for....oh...about 8 weeks.

I have practised zen....and sometimes failed.
That sometimes I might not be very nice to know.
That I have a sharp side to my tongue....and an icy side to my shoulders.

I have learned lots of other things too.....because my brain does not like to stand idle.
I failed at doing a daily blog.
I learned that I no longer like the new way of shopping....that it has all the charm of a smelly sock.....that I may have been cured of my affection for window shopping.

I am sure there are more things that I have learned, but I don't think any of them have improved me.

to be honest i dont really mind the lockdown if i go out theres a big shortage of chavs, and that pleases me no end.:D

I mind it Cashy...I mind it a lot.
I don't know about a shortage of Chavs.....I have been out so little and for such a short time when I do escape my confinement....there is no time to notice who is out...also when out we are out as the sparrows are coughing up...and chavs like to lie in their beds I am told.
