Today it is the 23rd anniversary of my dear pa's passing.
I still miss him.
There are days when I wish I could talk to him.
I will be seeing Ma tomorrow and will take her a bunch of yellow roses....for remembrance.
Remembering is easy, it is the forgetting that is hard.
An update.
I couldn't wait until tomorrow, it did not feel appropriate.....it is today that is his anniversary, not tomorrow.
So I hoofed up to see Ma. A big bunch of yellow roses in my hand and a hand made card.
Ma was having a nod on the sofa..when she woke up and saw me she immediately said that I should have left it until tomorrow, but understood why it had to be today.
We spent a little time reminiscing.......we talk of Dad often, and so while still talk of him he is alive in our hearts.
