Tom Bender earns Colchester United deal

"Colchester United have handed a new one-year deal to defender Tom Bender.

Bender, 19, made his U's debut in October 2009 and has gone on to make one further appearance for the club.

The Wales Under-21 player made headlines while at Accrington last year when he suffered a serious head injury during a match against Tranmere, causing the game to be abandoned."

Released from Colchester this week.

I would have him back, that's for sure!

Fairly sure he was asked by a member of this forum on Twitter about returning and he said it's not likely to happen

Spot on Dave.

Asked him last week.
