I'm looking forward to a night out. My hair is washed and I'm letting it dry naturally. I figure that I'll have more luck with the straighteners if I don't tire my arms out trying to blow dry the mop first. Had a couple of fairly uneventful days at work, easing myself in gradually so to speak.
Went to visit my mate Angie the other night. We were looking through brochures for ideas of where to have this Carribean wedding. Everywhere looks lovely, and I don't really mind where it is. Her daughter was moaning because she wants to come to the wedding and can't if it's abroad. She's nearly 19 and working but still expects her mum to pay for everything. She got pretty short shrift from me, as much as I love her to bits it's high time she started paying her way. Angie is not backing down either, she said that she would love her daughter to be there, but she has to pay for herself, and if she stopped spending her money on booze, clothes, shoes and fags she'd be able to afford it........ I'm so glad that I don't have kids...... I'd be sending them up chimneys from the age of 8 and would probably be on social services hit list.
I said that I would go out for a drink with Angie next week, as it is ages since we have been out together. Figuring that Sparky wouldn't be home until next Sunday at the earliest, Saturday would be a good night. He has texted today and thinks that he may be coming home on Wednesday, so I'll have to see. As much as I have missed him, I really need a girly catch up night.....
