I agree with the fact that they need a break, my point is that most of the people are coming out of the pubs between 2:30am and 3am. Don't get me wrong, i'm not anti-police, i think they do a great job, all i'm saying is that thier breaks could be at a diifferent time.

Better than in the pub. If these nambies want to kick what bit of brains they have out of each other then so be it. Chances are they aint working on Monday anyway. As a doorman you should be glad they are giving each other a doing and not yourself and the pubs regular well behaved patrons.

Well you of all people should know how much better Accy is at weekends now, compared to years ago when every Sunday night was fight night on Church St.

Isn't it between 2-3am when their shift ends?

I can't absolutely swear to it but I'm near sure as I can be that one shift finishes at 2am, the others come on at 2am, and they have an hour over lap for de-breifing and stuff.

If I can just pick up on this a moment... I don't recall seeing it ever mentioned on accyweb before...

I also believe the Accy police do a great job.. I have had lots of dealings with them for one reason and another (no I have NOT been naughty :) ) over the last year and I can say they really do a great but mostly thankless job.. its one of them jobs that everyone takes for granted but are quick to complain if they so much as put a foot out of place... But rarely if ever get the praise they deserve...

I wouldn't do it for all the tea in china :)

Are you saying that if the idiots wanted to cause an aggro sesh then there are no police around not even the canned kind? :eek:

No Spug I'm not saying that, I said I'm sure there is an over-lap. If I'm incorrect someone will be sure to know.

I'm with Kipax it is a mostly thankless task. So how about giving credit were it' due. OK so the cameras are down but it's only one tool that is helping them police the town centre.

I'm not saying anything against the police, they only control the cameras. It's down to either Hyndburn council or Blackburn council.

It was that comment that gave me cause for concern AccyJay, without some form of proof except claiming to be door staff I think it's a little un-fair. Anybody reading this thread that was due a visit to Accy and maybe thought about having a look into town to check out our night life might have second thoughts after reading that.
 
Dosnt matter how many cameras or police that are there for the safety of the public enjoying a night out there is always one or to Rodney's willing to have a fight.
