Transdev

So after we've had to pay for a pass to make sure our kids can travel to school at half fare, they are now putting a child's fare up to 3/4 of the adult price - might as well have saved the price of the pass in the first place!

the passes are free, all you need is passport pics

i pay £2 for Reece's because at waves they take the pics for me

I had to pay for my son's, I think they're only free up to age 12 or 13 - it's just the greed of this company that really gets my goat.

My youngest is a bus monitor on the school bus which entitles him to a free pass to be used on majority of east lancs buses as far as blackpool, lancaster, bolton etc

Yet on numerous occasions he has got on the bus for them to refuse the pass as its not a school bus and despite him saying for them to check the back of the pass where it clearly states all services up till 9.30pm they just tell himm to pay up or get off.... I have complained to transdev and they assure me all their drivers are aware of these passes..

yeah right!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter has to pay full fareon buses, she's only 15!, because she aint got a pass!!, yet again transdev thinking of their pockets!!

13 is the age where you have to pay £2.

If anybody has a digital camera and some photo paper the photos don't have to be be proper passport photos, I did my daughters :)

I hope one day Transdev get stiffed right up the arse

So she gets what she's entitled too, and you save money in the end..and the drivers don't have the difficult job of trying to suss out who's over age and trying to get on half fare????:)

Why should i pay £2, to prove to transdev that she is only 15??

They should be FREE!!
Quite agree Panther, I can understand the need for kids to prove their age when out of uniform but not when they are in full uniform and obviously going to school, I held out from getting one from my lad for a while but then got one just to stop him getting a lot of hassle on the school bus, cost me six quid including the photos and now they're changing the goal posts by increasing the child fare anyway.

Agree on that, but what im saying is why should I pay??

Why dont they let ya have the pass free, like the over 60's pass?

Our two girls went to preston on the train the other day. I went to the ticket office to check they didn't need any railcards or passes to get half fares. His reply was "Why ? they don't look anywhere near 16. When they get to 15 and might look 16 think about getting some id but otherwise we use common sense"

Says it all really :D

Same reason you have to pay for passports, etc, I don't agree with it either but tbh £2 isn't exactly breaking the bank is it? And getting your child hoofed off the bus and left standing there without any means to get home isn't really worth thinking about is it.......

just walked Reece to the bus stop and i asked the driver how much the blue weekly passes had gone up to for kids...they used to be £6.75 and now they are £8.70, i bought Reece's last week before they went up, looks like i have an extra £1.95 to fork out this week then

it is cheaper for me to pay for returns for Reece for school but he goes to town and the library at weekends, i'm just wondering if its going to be worth paying for him to go into town rather than getting him a pass from now on

i havent the foggiest Neil, ridiculous isnt it

did you know that the drivers dont even get time and a half for weekends or bank holidays, they are just on a flat rate and thats it

I worked New Years eve and got nothing extra for it. I work all days and all times and am paid the same each month regardless of shifts or hours worked.

we have no choice but to pay these stupid prices

Car?
Mule?
Taxi?
Bike?
Walk?
Get a friend to take you everywhere?

For our little girl from clayton to ossy and back monday to friday costs us £3:50. That will do nicely.
