and spugs says he's not travelling with me again .. he says im jinxed .. something goes wrong when i travel .. but he does say if we do travel together again he will make all the arrangements ... that way the jinx wont work.
First, the train from Falkirk was at 1429 .. spugs booked the taxi for 2pm ... it finally turned up at 2.15pm .. the train was pulling into the station .. we were running over the bridge to the platform.
2nd .. we made it by the skin of our teeth .. and then into Glasgow .. and walked round by george square and under the canopy of lights again .. I got a newspaper and a couple of puzzle books .. and we got on the train. It took ages to get served .. so spugs didnt get his coffee before we got on the train. Found our seats .. i nabbed the window seat .. what there was of it ... and we set off. Train was running late by the time we got to Carlisle ... i thought the train to accrington was at 1809 .. I was wrong .. it was at 1805 and we missed it. Because the train was running late because it slowed down coming through the borders ... and we had to sit outside preston station for 10 minutes as it was running late.
Anyway .. if we'd caught the 1805 .. we would have been on the boneshaker but because we missed it by 4 minutes we caught the york train instead. Rang my brother and told him we'd missed the train he said what time do you get in .. i didnt know .. about 7 i think .. spugs said yes its 7 ... i said are you sure .. anyway bro said send me a text when you find out for sure. Found out at the office the train landed at 7 ... we caught that one .. gets into accy - no brother .. mind you didnt know which side he was waiting for us. Gave him a ring .. he said im just coming past the park ... meet me on lars de dars ... so we got there just in time to see him pull in.
And so we are now down in lancashire .. the pics will have to wait .. ive got them on the comp but need to resize em yet. Theres quite a lot!!! lol
