uncle sentenced.....

The strange thing is that the grandmother is going to take the full can for her sons dog when her trail ends & probably do more time than her son aka the uncle:rolleyes:

Iagree with you, you would get longer for that but the juge who give this verdicked must have been a sleep or somethingor he got him on a good day

Less,I think your above comment is inappropriate and inflammatory and likely to upset a lot of people at the moment.

So I am being inflammatory by mentioning that parents should not leave their children alone? Please explain, if the parents had made sure the children were looked after, would one of them be missing now? a Chav would have been crucified by the press, these parents still neglected their children, no matter how I hope the child is returned safe and well, they left her alone.

I'm not offended by the comparisson. I think it is a fair point, and its odd, the hypocrisy at play of the hang 'em, flog 'em, bang 'em up for life brigade.

But there is a thread open for discussing that one:mad: and just so you know yes i do blame the parents i would never leave my kids alone:( CAN we now leave that one! and get back to the little girl who was savaged by a crazed dog:mad:

No mention was made of any particular case. Less just pointed out that there isn't the same hysteria, as there is for the family who left this poor child in a house with an illegal dangerous dog.

If you care to search back to the original case and the thread, my thoughts aree very clear about this family, but applying the same logic, should everyone who owns an illegal breed of dog be imprisoned for life? After all the threat is there, it just hasn't happened.

These useless dogs are like personalised number plates, an extension of the owners personality, did you see him swaggering into court, I hope the real men inside treat him like 'nonce' or child molester, he certainly deserves it.
No child should have be exposed to such an appaling situation, she had no choice in the matter, as far as i'm concerned each and every one of them are equally to blame, if the knew this dog was on the premisses.

I agree Lillypad,we should leave this alone now.

FAO Willow and Accymel - he will serve half his sentence in custody and will be released on an "at risk" licence and serve the remainder of his sentence in the community. Parole doesn't come into it. If you are sentenced under the 1991 Criminal Justice Act you are only parole eligible if you receive a sentence of 4 years or more. Under the 2003 CJA, the only sentences that are parole eligible are extended sentences for public protection. Hope that helps to partly explain the very complicated criminal justice system in this country.

You leave it alone, as much as you want, ignore the truth if that is your state of mind, but leaving children alone is negligence and should not be excused no matter who you are.

I still want the child returned safely, but why should this Uncle be persecuted on here for a mistake when this situation could also happen to almost anyone with a dog.

So far as I understand the Grandmother faught against the dog, at least she was there to attempt to stop what happened unlike other so called 'responsible' parents.

I agree Kiel Simpson should have been given a much harsher sentence for creating a dangerous dog, which is what he did. He, like all his type, reared the dog to be a vicious fighter and an extension to his own warped ego as he swaggered around with it.

His mother should have been charged with, at the very least, complicity in as much as she ever allowed her son to raise the dog in the way he did and allowed it to live on her premises.

The child's parents should also have been charged with negligence because they were fully aware of the dog's nature but were quite happy to leave their child with only a door between it and the dog. They also knew that the grandmother was a drug user and not the most responsible person with whom to leave a child but, if local gossip is true, that would not matter a great deal to them.

Incidentally, the child's father has condemned the grandmother for the attack but is still, apparently, on good terms with drug dealer Kiel Simpson, who was a coffin bearer at the child's funeral.

Was she really acquitted? She has to live with this for the rest of her life. She has to live with the thought that she let the dog into the house and he killed her granddaughter.

I Think Not.

Fair enough but if she knew she was caring for her grand-daughter she should have laid off the booze and dope!!
