v Cheltenham

Great result to wake up too.WELL DONE STANLEY .I agree with your comments Mr Morton, except the drum bit.I know, I wasn't there BUT I have been known to bang the drums at footy games over here on occassions....

one i was next them in the old cow shed and one of they fans said to me we are poor . then he said **** poor . for what they give i take my hat off them.

I was near their end throughout the match.

Where were you?

I was on the coppice side of the main stand and the Cheltenham Fans were silent bar one or two half hearted attempts at song. Credit to them coming up long trip and that not knocking them but to say they supported their team vocally would be a lie.

I think that it is always unwise to suggest that anyone might be telling a lie.

Especially when misquoting them.

Whether they sang or whether they didn't, credit to the people who turned up from Cheltenham, a long trip, to a game which they really didn't end up having much to shout about and they were still gracious enough to dig into their own pockets and put a few quid into the fund to save our club.

Result Aside, I hope they've had a safe jouney back, enjoyed a few beers whilst they've been up here and hopefully return again in the league sometime.....singing optional !!

From myself at least, for any Cheltenham fans reading this, thanks for your support today.:)

Just a quick note before I go to bed.

Great post, Rob.

Isn't it good to talk about football instead of politics?

You are so right about Grant's second goal: I was behind and in line with it, and when he made contact there were at least three of us who shouted "That's in!"

The boy's a soccer genius.

The young lad who was going starry eyed over the girl behind the bar in the Crown seemed glad he made the trip up north. Don't think she was though !

.

Sat Just to the right of the goal before Grant's finish.... me and my mate where screaming for him to spray it wide for Miles to whip it across!!!! Ball hits back of net and all we could scream at each other was spray it wide !!!! (whilst of course bouncing up and down deliriously to the bemusement of my mates young lad!!!)

The lad (Grant ) has some class...Let's all hope that the club stays afloat to keep him and then, when the time comes where Bobby moves on to further his career, the club gets a large sum for nurturing the lad's undoubted talent!!!!
