Never mind my best efforts, Katex. You have just namechecked me in that list of alleged admirers.

Lettie is in the kitchen perusing a weapon of choice, in the knife drawer, as I speak. :knife:

Sorry Kate but I can actually see the tumbleweed blowing through this thread.

You're not going to get any of the blokes on here being romantic!

There speaketh the words of truth Gayle, think flogging a dead horse here, still few days to go yet, so not giving up hope .. :D

Why is it, men in particular, are embarassed to state publicly how much they care for their women .. do they think it makes them any less of a man .. not to me, it doesn't ... would just sigh .... haaaaah, and wish he were mine.

Sorry, Sparkologist .. secrets out now then .. :D Actually, just realised don't know your real name ..

Thats slander or is it libel.

WE JUST HIDE IT WELL TO KEEP YOU YOUNG LADIES ON YOUR TOES. :p

Question is can you ladies be as romantic as you want the gentlemen to be?

Of course:

'Who is this man with hair so fair,
He travels South from his Scottish lair.
We miss the fun when you don't appear,
Darling Spugs, a place in my heart, you have me dear'

See, not quite as bad as 'Violets' are blue .. but nearly :D

Has anyone seen Sparks??? I have found a luvverly sharp knife in the kitchen, a meat cleaver.....:D

I could not be as romantic as women (or should I say some women) expect men to be.

I do appreciate a nice card but all this gushing with flowers and presents is a little bit too 'teen' first lovish for me. It's a marketing ploy to fill shops with overpriced sh1te and make people feel guilty for not buying it..

I would much rather spend some quality time with Sparks than receive anything.:D Now is that romantic or what!!!!!

First of all, not guilty Lettie honest .. just a bit of fun ...so put down the meat cleaver .. :D :o What is his name anyway ?

Maybe shouldn't have started this thread in such a flippant way, not supposed to be about spending money and any marketing ploy, just something nice you would like to say to your husband, girlfriend, etc.

You have done it already by declaring you would rather spend some quality time with Sparks and definitely romantic ... that is a lovely Valentine's message.
