I found this interesting site the other day. Once you have zoomed into hyndburn and surrounding areas a button becomes available called 'birds eye' this then turns the map into fantastic overhead pictures of our area, you can even turn around 360 degrees. These are not satelite photo's like google earth as they seem to have been taken from a plane or something, they are very good quality, all I need to find out now is how to print off a picture of my house lol.

There very recent images them too, not like Google thats about 3 year old round this area

The pictures of my street look like they were taken early last summer - I only know this because my neighbour changed his car in August and on the picture it shows his old car parked outside his house

Tried to figure out how old the pics were, know the ones of my area are less than 2 yrs as old as its god my mums car on them but can figure out if they are since ive moved in, cant get close enough to tell and my car isnt outside my house lol, had a good nosey though

I have seen this used on estate agents websites.
There are some areas not covered by it.
When viewing mine (Osw) I can positively say 'pre Nov 2007'

That's great, thanks.:)

I'd say it was taken very early in the morning, from the position of the sun/shadows.

Certainly the addresses I looked at.

Your right there, sun doesn't hit our front garden till about 1-2pm and its nowhere near it in the photos

these pics are more than 7 months old, i'd say well over a year old, my neighbour moved out of the house accross the road 13 months ago and his cars are still on the drive on these pics

Blimey it's like an episode of Cluedo we know where and when it was done all we need is a victim and a weapon

Super Sluths are out there!!!

looking at my house, the factory behind is still standing and that has been demolished and houses built in its place so would say at least a year maybe longer

Just looked for my workplace in Blackburn and it isn't even built and we have been there 5 years!!!!!!!!!

tell a lie, when you zoom in its the old photos but when you change to birds eye it is more recent and it must have been really early in the morning as there isn't a single car on the car park and many people start at 7am

Had new front door plus windows put in Nov 2007, and it shows the old ones. So it must be before then.

I agree, well over a year ago and before 8am.Next doors car is there the binmen have gone to work and Springhill Club is still standing.

Oh well, not as recent as I thought then, still younger than Googles, I've had two cars since the one sat outside on their sat view
