Last Saturday it was my 69th birthday.
How on earth have I become as ripe as an old cheese - though I do have to say I smell better than an old cheese.
I do not feel my age at all. In fact it startles me to see this old biddy looking back at me when I comb my hair in a morning.
I still feel like a spring chicken.
Had I known I was going to last this long I would have taken far better care of myself.

Himself bought me a very nice card(well for a commercially produced one that is).....roses, a poetic verse.....just what a card should be. No present though.
That really would have been asking too much.
Anyway it didn't really matter because over last week I had been watching a craft channel and they had a mew range of cutting dies out.....some essential shapes and some Christmassy stuff.
I knew himself would not be getting me anything so I splurged and bought a whole shed load of them.
Some of these dies arrived on Thursday....some arrived today....and there should be more coming over the next week.
I am in crafting heaven and the ideas that are filling my head are keeping me awake.

Sometimes what I think of in my head works out well in practice, other times it doesn't.
When it doesn't i can usually salvage some elements of the design to recycle.
So today I have been die cutting, stamping and glueing.

I will put pictures of my recent handiwork on here tomorrow...so watch this space.

There you go .....here are 4 that I made yesterday.

I know it doesn't Cashy......because inside I still feel in my prime.
It is just the bodywork that lets the old jalopy down a bit.
I would not wish to be a day younger.

Thanks Son.
Birthdays, schmirthdays...they don't matter much once you get over the hill(you pick up speed and find your brakes don't work)......and anyway in about two minutes there will be another one along (or that is what it feels like) and I'll be 70!

I hope there will be many more.......i want to be on here as an irritant for a long time to come.:D

happy belated birthday Margaret xx from both me and the spugster xxx and there will be many more .. we need your blogs!!!!

Happy belated birthday, Margaret. Sorry I'm late wishing you this but have only just seen your blog (I'm a bit slow these days). However, my good wishes are very sincere and so here's wishing you many, many more birthdays - and lots of crafts to enjoy.

By the way, you ARE only a spring chicken.

Thank you Dotti.....for your lovely comments.

I really do feel like a spring chicken.....we'll have one with all the trimmings for our Sunday tea :D
