We Have Heating ....

I presume thats the standard blow heaters in Council House?
It sounds to me like you mean the gas fired hot air heating, and yes it is rubbish.
I think Mel has electric storage heaters - they heat up bricks inside them over night and allow the heat out slowly through vents during t he day - also a rubbish idea, unless you are psychic and know today how cold it will be tomorrow.
Have you turned the heat up to full Mel so it opens the vents inside and lets the heat out?

Yeh it is storage heaters with bricks inside [hehehehe got to see them lol] the one in hall is still hot in the middle & with H&S suppose they cant, but he said that they are tempermental like that in sods law & that i did right, he said no worries they'll be here at 8am with the load of central heating engineers & will take it out then 5 mins of job. Bless them they are gentlemen even took their boots off at the doorstep before entering house until leaving - very nice men:D

So my hall heater stays another day awwww bless it didnt want to go:D

Lives another day & will RIP tomoz

Yes thats them absolute waste of space. just blow hot air out of 3 vents, to heat a full house.

Anyone have any idea how much it costs to have central heating installed? It would be for an average 2 bed terrace.

Anyone noticed an update on this thread from the heating installation ?

The heating must be working and it's too bloody hot now to type :D

Please try not to get paint all over the radiators, like you did with the storage heaters, when you next decorate. :D

I have HEATING WHOOHOOO!!!:D

Like the tropics now in comparrison to earlier full scale hurricane blowing thro house NO heating typical i chose a good tday for it lol, yes the hall heater left home this morning for the new radiators, they was here bang on 8am & finished by 3.30pm ALL done bar kitchen one which cant be done till kitchens have beens sorted...hey i have instant hot water now that is novel no waiting for tank to heat up or worry of running out of hot water & no freezing upstairs:D

Rang leccy co up & they are going to take out the econ 7 meter - at long last in 2 weeks:D

If your'e thinking of having a bath in the morning better start running it now. The one disadvantage to instant hot water lol.
