The jet stream has moved a little to the south; so, our temps have moderated a little. But it looks like nice temps in the low 20s for the next week .... as always a little cooler by the lake .... we are having a really nice late spring, early summer, with enough rain to make everything green and lush. Only problem is that the moskies seem to like it:mad:

Looks like we're getting a bit better weather at the moment Eric (a rarity) the forecast is in the thirties today and the rest of the week, oh and no moskies either, just the odd gnat:D

Seems like the midgies love it though, even though I have thought there have been a lot more ever since the Spring .... was lots of columns where I live ... maybe because I am near water :-

Midge explosion in East Lancashire because of hot humid weather (From Lancashire Telegraph)

Did see a report re. mosquito populations moving over the channel and they were sending up planes to spray them before they reached us  (sorry can't find the link now).

A few days ago, as I was looking out of my kitchen window, I saw what I thought were raindrops, until I realised that they were moving UP as well as down.
There were so many of them that it looked like a rainshower, and they were bouncing up and down vertically. I never knew that midges had the power to halt in mid-descent, then 'bounce back' vertically - most peculiar.

Just gone 5pm and there's been a huge crack of thunder and the Sky's gone off, could be a storm on the way soon

just been sat out in the garden and its still gorgeous out there, been bitten to death by the midges like, but its still nice and warm

Dont i sodding know it. having just returned from babysitting this aft, PARIS left the sodding sun roof open, got a very wet arse when i jumped in the car when it stopped raining.

Payback for leaving her washing outside :p

Well another day and its just has hot, window wide open fan belting it out and I'm still melting and its only 10-30am

That little storm that came through Accy yesterday tea time was incredible. At one point the visibility was down to 100 yds or so, and that wind just picked up so quickly, from still to really bending the trees right over in no time, and the rain was as hard as I've ever seen it briefly, with big hailstones too. Then as soon as it started it had gone again, over in 10 minutes.
It was almost like a mini tornado passed by.

I am cool man:cool:
I got the mobile aircon going again - noisy but effective.
In my mail today I got one from Argos, and it shows mobile aircon machines in the sale
