weather??

Sounds like there's a storm looming, lots of thunder in the air :) Started to lash down as I posted, now it's stopped lol

We had quite a storm here between 4 and 5 a.m. this morning. It was right overhead for about 15 minutes and damned loud. The rain started at about 4.30 and by 5 it was torrential. It had all cleared up by 8 and it's been a nice sunny day, though not as stifling hot as the last few days, until 5 o clock when thunder started rumbling around again but only a bit of rain.

We had one of the wettest July's on record .... but the up side of this is that the city looks lush and green, and the trees are doing espescially well .... it's like living in a forest in certain parts of the city.

For the next few days, hot and sunny, with the chance of an evening shower or thunderstorm .... temps will peak early next week in the low 30s, then, if the long range forcast holds, hovering around normal (25c) for the first part of August.

Im getting fed up with all this rain................Its ruining my bloody garden, all me flowers are going soggy!!

And the kids are getting fed up!:(

Me too ... we had the wettest July on record, and August is looking a little damp too ... but what the hell, the city is green and lush, the gardens look fantastic, as do the trees.

I hate the rain makes my hair curly and none of my clients turn up ( i think some of them think they may melt)
I'm also intrigued by popping pitch!

What the hell is "popping pitch":confused::confused: I really do wish you guys would learn English:hidewall:

I'm thinking maybe its a reference to gas tar bubbles , years back when the tar would bubble up around the cobble stones during hot weather and the kids would 'pop' them ;)
