weather??

Been up and out early on a Sunday morning - the bells are ringing for mass in the village and the sky is blue, looks set for a beautiful autumn day. You can see the Alps this morning, capped in white, we've had the first snow of the year!

Sun won't be up for a while here .... had to get up to one of my dogs her meds ... a little foggy, but it seems it will clear up and we will have a nice sunny fall day, with temps around 22c. Not bad for late September.:D

Ya but it won't be long before its -22 with 6 foot drifts of snow:D

Well just seen our forecast for the week Eric, and it looks like for most of the week the suns going to be cracking the flags back in good old Hyndburn:D

As we speak: 25c, low humidity, gentle breeze, cloudless skies ... aaahhhh.:D And tomorrow, with a little more humidity, could hit 30c. But, a month and a half from now I could be shovelling ... maybe sooner, October snow is not rare.

Ya mean you'll be donning the tennis racquet shoes next month then Eric:D

Don't know if it will be next month; but I was out on my front porch having my first cup of coffee of the day and there were flights of geese heading south ... not a good sign. Squirrels seem to be stocking up on the groceries. Summer is definitely winding down. It's been a good one; a few days when it was just too hot and muggy, but overall, not bad at all.:hothothot

Lovely here again today -blue skies and warm sunshine (23°C) in the afternoon -went for a round trip of 8 km on my bike -part of a "keep healthy" campaign. Lots of Moorhen on the canal and the leaves are just starting to turn -i love Autumn.
Wouldn't mind a wet windy walk along the Leeds-Liverpool canal though....very invigorating!
Only downside of the day -a visit to the dentists.....:(
Plus my laptop keeps blue-screening!
