Not a great deal as happened today [l'm still in my dressing gown, what a sloven!]. l didn't sleep a wink, but so far feel ok,it's usually after tea when l experience 'come down', the time when the drugs might produce the visions...... why is it only insects and shouting old men that come to visit me?
Joining Accrington Web just over a month ago, has really changed my life. As well as giving me the ability to write and express my point of view, l've also met some wonderful people both in the flesh and in cyber space.
Even people l have had disagreements with are friends now. Like Mez told me when l first met her, what happens here, and is posted is soon forgotton outside of the forums. lt would be a fairly boring place if we all thought the same, unless of course you all thought like me, then it would be a wonderful world, lol!
It's been really hard moving back and trying to make friends and build a social life after twenty years in exile. l was starting to in the job l did for a month until l was diaganosed with this disease, and retired if thats the word. lf l go on the Weakest Link what shall l tell Anne my job is? She's sure to rip into me if l say-'Garinda from Oswaldtwistle, 40 and retired, lol.
I'm not going to name names here, about who means what to me. l have my journal buddies, my chatroom 'nutty' playmates, and people l have interesting discussions with in the forum. Some of the most moving comments have been from people l don't know very well, and sent as karma. Thank you, you know who you are.
There is no one l dislike here. People that l've had spats with are now friends. lf only politicans could show the same kindness and maturity you lot have shown, there would be a lot less conflict in the world.
