Willie mitchell

[Alan Gilmartin]

So sorry to hear that Willie Mitchell past away a couple of days ago, my soul mates on accyweb will know who I am talking about, he produced some great music at HI Records,

[Wynonie Harris]

Very sad news...he produced some great records by Al Green, Ann Peebles, Syl Johnson, Otis Clay and more.

Also made a load of crackin' tunes in his own right including "That Driving Beat" (big Twisted Wheel classic) and "The Champion" (Wigan Casino floorfiller).

RIP Willie.

Another soulful groove from Willie...

Obit from "The Guardian". Even bearded, sandal-wearing, treehugging liberals got soul!
