Willows £1 shop

I've got two Harry Potter paperbacks. As you can see from the photos they are not in the best of conditions. They are the "adult" versions, which means they have a very understated cover illustration in moody monochrome.

Re: Willows £1 shop

They were supposed to be for adults who didn't want to be seen reading a children's novel.

Re: Willows £1 shop

Ahhh right. I had heard something about that. Is the story wording exactly the same?

Re: Willows £1 shop

hmm just curiously - what reprint are they?

might be able to get more than just a quid each if they're early prints esp the first one

Re: Willows £1 shop

apparently this version of those books where out before the new ones(the ones we see in the shops)

Re: Willows £1 shop

Re: Willows £1 shop

willow - they're worth a bit more to ur maundy relief than ur giving them credit for... stick them on ebay

Re: Willows £1 shop

i have seen them around car boot sales, they have to be worth more than a pound though

Re: Willows £1 shop

Well that eBay auction has no bids so far and looks in pristine condition.:D These are really extremely tatty.

Re: Willows £1 shop

I have no idea Mani, they just indent the surface, they don't show through on the inner side of the cover.
