What a glorious day.
We've just spent all morning in the garden painting. Five years at art school weren't wasted. I may not be able to sign my name anymore, but l can at least impress a five and eight year old with my painting of a desert island!
One of the best things about moving back home is being closer to my neice and nephew. We've always had summer holidays in France together, and l saw them once a month, but today is just fantastic. Total tonic.
Just watching them play and paint sat in the sun is a treat. Well it was until J. decided instead of painting battle ships it would be fun to paint my feet battleship grey.
My goddaughter called to inform me her cancelled sports day is back on for this afternoon. Next job massive paint clearance, off us and the terrace, before l make the lunch.
Afternoon for us watching H. My brother and myself never ever lost in our races at sports day from the ages of 4-11. l hope she doesn't show us up, lol- joking. l still don't like loosing, l just have different ways of getting there l suppose, not always nice ones l suppose, but hey ho, thats me Rindy, warts and all take it or leave it.
