Would you do it.

A mother has reported her sons to the police after they viciously attacked a man, leaving him blind in one eye.
If you found out that your children had been involved in a violent attack, would you do the same?

I seen this on GMTV this morning, i have to say I do feel for the woman, all her family has disowned her!!

if my son had done that to a man for no apparent reason , then yes i would do the same, no one has the right to do that....

I applaud this woman for her courage and i hope her sons see sense when they have calmed down a bit. They have altered another mans life forever....and they should know that you can't do that and get away with it.
Their Mum heard them boasting about what they had done.....and that is when she took action.

i did similar once, with my son n that was not a violent attack, it sure learnt him,was only early teens at the time, they took his fingerprints etc n after asking me, put the fear of god in him, it worked he has never done owt wrong since n went on to uni n gained a masters........... so it did him no harm i reckon.

My Mum caught one of my brothers stealing from her purse and she dragged him down to the police station by his ear-hole. He was interviewed and fingerprinted and stuck in a cell for about an hour(with Mums permission)....we were all warned to expect the same treatment if we stepped out of line.
Do you think this is what is missing in todays society?

virtually the same margaret my lad had bought summat that was faulty n just took it in the shop n swopped it, yes i think thats whats missing.

25 yrs ago my daughter started playing with solvents
took her along to the local police
short sharp shock, luckily it worked, and she is now a credit :gooddog:

If i had kids i hope i would have the courage to do something like that. I hope they dont blame her for what she did - it was her sons fault anyway if they hadnt have done it then they wouldnt have needed to be reported to the police would they?

According to the story Jen, her family have disowned her.
And her sons were not teenagers who were 'daft in drink' they were 24 and 27 years old.......old enough to know the difference between right and wrong.

well if thats the case her family are the same kinda scumbags her sons are in my view.:(

I read that in the bbc story that they were 24 and 27. Why should her family disown her for what she did - she was standing up for right and wrong and they should actually be proud of her.

Would they be disowning her if they were some lads up the street?
No, of course not, just because they are her "children" does not make them any less of a criminal
Her family obviously aint worth.....well, owt:)

iam sorry but i wouldn;t be able to report my own child ; but i would try and get them to hand them self in ; im a mother and my instincted is to protect my own ; and i will no matter what it takes ; even if it means i loss my own life ; don;t get me wrong ; i;d do everythin i could to get them to hand them self in

I think the woman deserves a medal, if everyone did that when they know their kids have done something wrong, it would be have the battle, but this day and age parents are worse than the kids, and thats why they go off the rails in the first place

And if they wouldn't?
Then what?
; even if they won;t my own ; i wouldn;t get involed ; the way the world is today ; i would be the next to be attacked ;if not loss my life ; i won;t take that change ; and they did wrong it will catch them up ; sooner or later i beleave that ; sorry but thats the it is with me ; my kids are my world and only young they need me ;
