She,s got a lovely voice and such a sweet natural kid. I liked her . missed that she was from Blackburn though till I saw this thread..
Good luck to her.

According to The Observer shes not actually from Blackburn. Shes from Accrington, she just goes to school in Blackburn, Westholme i think it said.

Diana Vickers from Blackburn/Accrington made it through to the live shows tonight! :mosher:

How cool.....someone from Accy on the live shows. :alright:

Yeah, it's so cool. Lets hope she stays in right to the final.

Apparently she is from Accy but went to school in Blackburn. My niece is really excited as she was one of a group filmed in the library at Westholme, doing the 'she's got the X-Factor' cross armed thing.

Besides being local, she seems fairly unique, and reminds me a little of Alex Parks, who won Fame Academy a couple of years ago.

Wouldnt mind being Ashley Cole for a couple of hours!! ;)

You mean you wouldn't mind spending a couple of hours with Cheyrl, I hope. :)

Not that you want to be Trashley Cole.....he is vile.

When he cheated on Cheyrl with that hairdresser he threw up in her car and again during sex and then told her she was privileged that Ashley Cole had blown chunks all over her. :(

I don't know why Cheryl didn't kick him out after showing her up like that.

With a conviction for assault, in a night club, under her own belt - why would she?

I don't really get what you're saying there.

It sounds like you're saying that because Cheryl was convicted of assault in a nightclub about 6 years ago she deserves to be lied to, cheated on and humiliated by her husband.....am I right?

No, but I bet she can give her nasty cheating husband (I don't defend him at all, he's scum) a good run for his money. She no doubt assaulted him and, in fact, I hope she did.

I think she`s awful (but i do agree with garinda, a bit Alex Parks) Laura from Bolton if fantastic but my favorite is Alexandra.......her voice is as good as any American singer we have heard, was suprised that Bad Lashes went because Girlband are just like my sister in law and her mates having a sing song down the pub.

Well done Diana!

I'm really glad the public got her. She's ethereal, very English, in a willowy blond eccentric way, and reminds me of a young Marianne Faithful, or Judy Tzuke..

Got to agree about that other Lancashire lass, Laura. Wow. Her jazzy, soulful tones, blew me away. I'd pay to see her.

All three girls are good. Alexandra is a diva in the making.

Good first live show.

Bad song choices for nearly everyone.

Lastly the show's stylist needs shooting, and they should nab the frock maker from Strictly...quick!

And the silly american `Creative` director needs to go as well and take his useless stage props with him...........he killed Same Difference last year ( not that they needed much help)

Blimey, just Googled Judy Tzuke, to check the spelling, and the likeness to Diana Vickers is uncanny.

What do you think?

I think you are right...although she reminds me of 80`s Goth Balladeers.....All About Eve....

I think he does most of the costumes and styling for the acts too.

He must have slept with someone, to get the job.

As a former Creative Director myself, I could creatively tell him where to go, and in which direction he should do it.:D

I only watched it for the first time tonight just to see our local lass Diana... I thought she was terrific. Yes, different, but an individual style wins in the end, and think that with promotion and expertise she could be on the lines of Kate Bush. If she doesn't win, sure they will do something with her.

Actually loved her outfit Garinda .. suited her style. Just wish she wouldn't crouch so much.

Can't comment much on the others as not seen their previous performances, but thought Alexandra was rubbish.(And that suit !) The girl group was fairly mediocre, and the boy group JLS (?) professional but not very handsome.

The others .. 10 a penny.
