as it seems that the season is about to be finished anyway it does seem a pointless decision to dock em any points. just cannot see a side being pushed down into non league football without a full season of games are played anyway. that is no matter how they end up deciding league positions anyway. losing your football league existance is far worse than any relagation from any division can be. ask fans of stockport, hartlepool , chesterfield and the others what losing their league club means to them.

What's the story behind that I wonder? Who/what has gone into administration? Obviously not Morecambe FC or we'd have heard about it ….

It doesn't belong to Morecambe FC.

Don't get exciting please;

It's 3G astro and hasn't been maintained for the last 3/4 years.

A very complecated situation as the land/ buildings weren't owed by the club and when the owner's other businesses went into admin MFC and their Community Trust who used these buildings they lost the use of these facilities.

One of the main issue is the match control room is in that block to they've had to relocate into a exec box in the main stand.

Their fans expect the land to be bought to be converted into another caravan park

the biggest joke is that they used to call the north east, the hotbed of football. there was actually a book written in the late 50,s with that title. there is now only one top flight club up there who have struggled for years. lost league clubs at gateshead, darlington and hartlepool. now you have a possibility of the other two playing in the third tier of the game. hotbed, more like dead end to me.

The north-east is still a hot-bed of football, with great fans and clubs at all levels.

But it’s not a hot-bed of global billionaires from the US, Russia, China, the Gulf, etc, etc, who are the ones now stoking the fires of ‘fantasy football’ to temperatures that few mere mortals can sustain.

do not know anything about the mags as i,ve never seen them since being a kid. however fans of all other clubs up there are far more fickle than stanley fans. when sunderland are losing its like a morgue there with walk outs from half time onwards. a few bad games and results pools fans stay away in thousands and the boro lot blow hot and cold very quickly.
