Is there yet any info about how many people have subscribed, either through Season Ticket codes or directly, to watch Stanley’s home games on iFollow?
Presumably some money will come trickling through to the club, but I just wondered what the figures were.

Andy Holt has tweeted Stanley have generated £18567 so far from the league games in income he reckons we would have generated £70000+ from the Rochdale game alone doesn't take a genius to see that this can't last long.

My original point about consistency things need to be crystal clear if the rules if there is any to follow in these circumstances don't break or abuse them should be ok, with this lot running the show don't hold your breath.

Surely there are other savings though ? Security, match day staffing etc ?
Also what about the season ticket revenue that hasn't been returned ?
I'm not an accountant and not good with figures maybe someone can clarify.

Not one myself but I dread if the season lasts that long drawing Man Utd at Old Trafford in the 3rd of FA cup doesn't even bear thinking about that potential earner or lack of.

All very complicated and still no atcual "rules" as this is all "brand new" and everything is on a "case by case" basis.

Clubs who ask for suspensions will need to show how many issues they have; what might not have been done just right and how to improve going forward.

As always its rather confusing and stressful !!:(

plenty of other games have been postponed but when stanley are concerned its under investigation. if they want to investigate someone then get the FA to investigate barnet. 1 case and they call off a home game v top of the league hartlepool. a week later with 4 or 7 cases, depending which source you read, they manage to play a really winnable fa cup game to get the money.

Apparently there was a load of issues especially concerning league 2 games last night with IFollow EFL has issued an apology this morning urging fans to use the IFollow on line live chat service to seek refunds etc:- good luck with that one. A lot of fans from various clubs saying service isn't fit for purpose and an alternative should be found maybe not that straight forward.

Not looking hopeful. I found this on the EFL website:
https://www.efl.com/broadcast-schedule/ that includes:
'Please note: Carabao Cup Round One - Four (excluding those involving a Premier League club) and Papa John’s Trophy matches are now available on iFollow (excluding those selected for broadcast) but there will be no The FA Cup matches available to watch on the service.'

More great news then so Barrow away on the 10th will be the next a full 3 weeks without a game to watch, hindsight is easy and not blaming any clubs but we all were led to believe there would be a gradual return of fans so at all clubs big response on season ticket sales. If everyone knew what they know now would the uptake as been as good, reading various fans forums and Facebook and Twitter sites I would say no.

plus we were told that live streaming was brought in for fans being banned from games. its not ideal but better than nothing which seems to be the case for the FA Cup. just wonder if its the BBC again who own the rights for television blocking streaming whilst other companies who own the rights for the other competitions are not. if thats the case then football fans should join any defund the BBC organisations.

Both clubs have agreed to stream the game IF it's not one of the 16 TV games.

However on details on how it's going to work; as I Follow is an EFL system and the game is in the FA Cup!!

IMG who had the international rights for the FA cup sold it to several betting sites last year available in the UK and it got criticised by the Government.

They showed the non-telly ones on the betting sites for free, you didn't have to bet, just fund an account in a certain timeframe which could be withdrawn after. Not sure who has rights this year and who they have been sold to.

10 days to go till the government debate on 9th November on return of fans can't see a positive outcome on this somehow might be wrong but worst case scenario no fans this season I wonder if clubs have discussed any contingency plans on restructuring budgets or the continuation of the season. If no fans allowed in I can see a big take-up of fans wanting refunds anybody's thought,s.

with you on that. in fact i,m looking at august 2021 as a possibility. its not only the safety considerations thats in my mind but more importantly how it looks to the rest of the non football watching public. there interests and activities have been cancelled by the virus so why should football be any different. if all the luvvies were allowed to get back to work with all their places totally open and football grounds still shut then i,d be infront of the queue complaining.

it has never been compulsory to attend games anyway. would be back today if i had the choice but looking at the wider picture at the moment giving me the chance to do so is not the right message until some form of normality in everything comes back. there are many who actually hate football with a passion like my brother in law and late sister. she never got it that she had a bit more than some of her school mates due to our father having the odd quid more due to his profession.

I think the general consensus on here isn't about the availability of being able to watch games live during this awful pandemic that is great , it's more about the lack of atmosphere in the empty stadiums and the effect it is having on games. Suppose one could argue it,s the same for both sides as for continuing after Covid it would be great for fans who can't get to games but I can't see that happening sorry enjoy the game today.

have you got NOW TV and a smart tele. if you have just go onto your NOW, go into sport and follow the instructions slowly. no app nonesence needed but a bit of time and patiance required.

It looks like this will work if you have a suitable TV with access to NOW:
https://www.nowtv.com/gb/checkout/summary

I'm guessing it will also work on a desktop or laptop. It looks like you buy it in advance, then activate it when you need it.

Has anyone had experience of using it?

PS Sorry MH, I posted this without seeing your reply to Cashy. It would still be useful to hear of others' experiences with it, though.

yes i am right . NOW TV and a smart tele and you have cracked it. watched a donny rovers game and was dead easy to do. if i can do it anyone can i assure you. if anyone has these divices just go into now tv and have a practise on what to do. you can go all the way to actually paying for the game so you,ll know what to do for the stanley match.

I see that I follow is to continue next season outside of the 3-00 to 5-15 Saturday window so night games will be shown great in one way you can watch for example Plymouth away on a Tuesday night, will have a big impact on away travel mid week plus on top of people getting out of the habit of traveling around the country due to the pandemic. Think there will be some kind of reimbursement hopefully because majority of clubs are close to skint.

actually clubs might make more money with the streaming of mid week games. there are plenty of older stanley fans who sit near to me swerve em for various reasons. i imagine they,ll watch em from home. same with those with young kids who feel its too late to keep their kids up with games going onto 9.45 nowadays. its getting the little sods up for school the next day thats the problem.

so that means clubs could still stream live midweek games again if they wish to do so. wonder if stanley will be one of them or not.

Just a heads-up. You can watch tonight's game against Doncaster on iFollow if you can't get to the game for any reason. I assume it's to generate income from Doncaster fans who won't travel mid-week.

actually got ready to go to the game but decided to watch the live stream instead. saved the ball ache of driving over and saving me a gallon of diesel.

wonder if anyone else watched the live stream last night instead of turning up as they would have done.

who was the last young player who was never described in this way. once these lads were all ones for the future. does not help the lad as some fans will now have unreal expectations from this lad.
